One-Punch Man Artist Yuusuke Murata Draws Poster for Spider-Man: Homecoming Box Set

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

One-Punch Man manga artist Yūsuke Murata is revisiting Marvel's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man to create a poster for the Spider-Man: Homecoming film's premium Blu-ray release in Japan. The full artwork isn't public yet, but a rough sketch showing Tom Holland's Spider-Man slinging two webs with Iron Man in the background was released. Murata's previous art for the film featured Spider-Man and The Vulture. The artist commented that he wanted to convey Iron Man's role in the film as the larger-than-life mentor to Peter Parker by making the character appear bigger than he should.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming premium Blu-ray box is limited to only 3,000 copies and will go on sale in Japan on December 20. Besides the poster by Murata, it also includes a bonus comic book, a magnet, and a collectible figure depicting the face-off between Spider-Man and The Vulture.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opened in Japan on August 11. It opened in the U.S. on July 7 and earned over US$643 million at the box office.

Murata previously drew Dragon Ball Z's Vegeta and Nappa and Hollywood's Power Rangers heroes.
