Kodansha USA Reveals 6 More Digital Manga Licenses

Kodansha Comics revealed six new digital licenses during its panel at the Anime NYC convention on Saturday. The company didn't provide story summaries for four of the licenses.

Pitch-Black Ten (Shikkoku no Ten)

The manga ran in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine R magazine, and Kodansha published the manga's third and final compiled volume on June 16.

Drifting Dragons (Kūtei Dragons)

Living-Room Matsunaga-san (Living no Matsunaga-san)

My Brother the Shut-in (Futsutsuka Mono no Ani Desu ga)

The manga runs in Kodansha's Morning magazine and Kodansha published the manga's sixth compiled volume in Japan on July 21.
Story: Every family has its share of problems, be they big or small. Shino Tadakoro has the perfect high school life, full of romance and friendship. Her biggest problem is her shut-in brother Tamotsu. She stubbornly keeps his existence a secret, telling even her closest friends that she is an only child. Oblivious to Shino's concerns, Tamotsu suddenly declares that he is giving up the shut-in lifestyle. Is there still time? The curtain rises on a tale of family reconstruction!

Kodansha Comics also announced that it is hosting a drawing contest for Ken Akamatsu's UQ Holder! manga. The winner will receive a Wacom digital drawing tablet and a chance to have a drawing printed inside the 13th volume of the manga in March 2018.

The company also announced that it will begin releasing Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka's Grand Blue Dreaming (Grand Blue) manga in print in summer 2018. The company began releasing the series digitally on September 12.

Kodansha Comics also mentioned that its final volume (volume 9) of Akiko Higashimura's Princess Jellyfish manga will include several extras. The volume's Amazon listing states that it will have more than 100 pages of extra content, including an unreleased color art gallery, interviews with the author and editor, a bonus unreleased manga, and a preview of Higashimura's new Tokyo Tarareba Girls manga.
