posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

The official Twitter account for the television anime of illustrator Kazasa Sumita (Witchblade Takeru) and storywriter Shinya Murata's (Jackals) Killing Bites manga revealed last Friday that Amazon Prime Video will stream the anime worldwide, and it will exclusively stream the anime's unaired "director's cut." The post did not indicate what would be included in the director's cut.

The anime will premiere on the Animeism programming block on MBS and TBS on January 12 at 26:25 (effectively January 13 at 2:25 a.m.), and on BS-TBS on January 13 at 24:30 (effectively January 14 at 12:30 a.m.). The anime's cast will also appear on a special program for the anime on January 5. The anime will have an advance screening event for the first two episodes at Tokyo's UDX Theater on December 29, and the main cast will appear for a talk show.

Yasuto Nishikata (episode director for The Heroic Legend of Arslan, The Seven Deadly Sins) is directing the series at LIDEN FILMS (Love and Lies, The Heroic Legend of Arslan). Aoi Akashiro (Classroom of the Elite, Fuuka) is in charge of series composition, and Kazuo Watanabe (The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Oku-sama wa Joshi Kōsei) is designing the characters. Yasuharu Takanashi (Naruto Shippūden, Fairy Tail) is composing the music. fripSide is performing the opening theme song "killing bites," and Kitsunetsuki is performing the ending theme song "Kedamono Damono."

Sumita and Murata launched the manga in Shogakukan's Monthly Hero's magazine in November 2013. Shogakukan released the manga's eighth compiled book volume on October 5.
