Series starring Yūki Kaji, Daisuke Ono premieres January 12

The official Twitter account for the television anime of Chiaki Kisaki and Hako Ichiiro's Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens (Hakata Pork Bones Ramens) light novel series began streaming two commercials for the series on Tuesday. The first video below is narrated by Yūki Kaji as Lin Xianming and features TRI4TH's ending theme song "Dirty Bullet." The second is narrated by Daisuke Ono as Zenji Banba and features the opening theme song "Stray" by Kishida Kyōdan & The Akeboshi Rockets.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, BS11, and AT-X on January 12.

The show stars:

Kenji Yasuda (Arata The Legend, Croisée in a Foreign Labyrinth - The Animation) is directing the anime at Satelight. Shogo Yasukawa (Terraformars, Alderamin on the Sky) is handling series composition, Hidenori Inoue is designing the characters, and Kotaro Nakagawa (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Hayate the Combat Butler) is composing the music. Yoshikazu Iwanami (Fate/Zero, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) is the sound director.

The story of the novels takes place in Fukuoka. At first glance, the city seems like a peaceful one, but under the surface, crime is running rampant. The city's Hakata ward is home to the professionals of the underworld: professional killers, detectives, informants, professional revenge seekers, those skilled in torture, and more. And according to urban legend, even a "killer of professional killers" exists in the city. When stories of the men in the underworld are told, a "professional killer murder" appears.

The novel series won the first prize for the 20th Dengeki Novel Awards. Kisaki and Ichiiro launched the novel series in 2014, and Kadokawa published the seventh novel on July 25, and will publish the eighth volume on December 22.
