Cast Performs Ending Theme for Yowamushi Pedal Glory Line

Sōhoku's interhigh team forms "The High Cadence" rock band

The official website for Yowamushi Pedal Glory Line, the Yowamushi Pedal anime series' fourth season, revealed on Thursday that six of the anime's main characters will form The High Cadence rock band to perform the anime's ending theme song "Carry the Hope." Voice actors Daiki Yamashita (Onoda), Kōsuke Toriumi (Imaizumi), Jun Fukushima (Naruko), Daisuke Kishio (Teshima), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Aoyagi), and Hiro Shimono (Kaburagi) will perform the song in character.

Rhythmic Toy World is performing the opening theme song "Boku no Koe" (My Voice).

The season will premiere on January 8 and air on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka at 2:05 a.m. (effectively January 9), before later airing on TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, NBC Nagasaki Broadcasting, and AT-X.

The new season's story will begin from the Inter High competition.

The story of the original Yowamushi Pedal manga centers around Sakamichi Onoda, an otaku at Sōhoku High School. He loves anime and games so much, that he would ride his commuter bicycle to and from Tokyo's Akihabara shopping district in a 90-kilometer (about 60-mile) round trip over steep slopes after school. Onoda's life changes when he encounters his school's cycling team, and he ends up joining the competitive sport of bicycle racing.

Wataru Watanabe launched the original manga in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in 2008, and the story has also inspired stage plays and live-action television series. The first season of the anime premiered in 2013. The second season premiered in 2014, followed by the third season in January. Crunchyroll streamed all three seasons outside Japan as they aired.

The franchise's most recent anime film, Yowamushi Pedal Re:Generation, opened in Japan on October 13. The compilation film incorporates footage from the third anime season with some new shots.
