Tubi TV Streams Sola, Angel Sanctuary Anime

Video streaming service Tubi TV has added the Angel Sanctuary and sola anime to its catalog. In addition, it has recently added all three Aria anime (Aria the Animation, Aria the Natural, and Aria the Origination) and the following titles from FUNimation Entertainment:

All of the new titles except for Afro Samurai: Resurrection are in Japanese with English subitltes.

The three-episode Angel Sanctuary original video anime debuted in Japan in 2000 as an adaptation of Kaori Yuki's manga of the same name. Central Park Media and later Media Blasters released the anime in North America. Media Blasters describes the story:

Mudou Setsuna, a high school student, loves his sister in a way that he shouldn't. He also struggles with supernatural powers. Angels and demons flock to him as the day of his awakening draws near, as he is the angel Alexiel, the highest angel which fought against God, reborn.

sola debuted in 2007. The series initially aired in Japan with 13 episodes, though two additional episodes bundled with the Japanese DVD releases. Tubi TV is streaming all 15 episodes.

Bandai Visual describes the series:

Yorito Morimiya is a high school student who loves to take photos of the sky. One night, he goes out to the park to take a photo of the sky as it turns from night to day and he meets a mysterious girl named Matsuri Shihou who longs to see the blue sky. However, she is actually an immortal ageless existence called "Yaka," the Calamity of the Night, and has lived hundreds of years alone in the darkness of night. Matsuri has been involved and witnessed many tragedies throughout her long life, and now she has to face the past. Yorito and Matsuri's chance meeting unravels a story that stood still for hundreds of years...

Bandai Visual USA released the series on DVD in North America.
