Ayumi Komura Starts Kare Cafe Manga About Cafe Run by Middle-Aged Men (Updated)

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Manga launches in The Margaret magazine on Saturday

This year's sixth issue of Shueisha's Margaret magazine revealed on Tuesday that Ayumi Komura will launch a new manga titled Kare Cafe (Guy Cafe) in the April issue of Maragaret's sister magazine The Margaret on Saturday. The first chapter will have 26 pages. The manga will center on a cafe staffed by middle-aged men.

Komura launched her currently-running Kami-sama no Ekohiiki (Favoritism of the Gods) manga in Margaret last March. Shueisha published the manga's third compiled book volume (pictured at right) in December, and will publish the fourth volume on March 23.

Komura ended her 17-volume cross-dressing shōjo manga Usotsuki Lily (Liar Lily) in May 2014, after a five-year run. Komura launched a spinoff of the manga digitally on The Margaret Book Store in December 2016.

Komura launched the Full Dozer manga in December 2014, and ended the series in August 2015 before launching Mori no Takuma-san in October 2015. Shueisha published the fourth and final volume of Mori no Takuma-san in November 2016.

Viz Media published Komura's Mixed Vegetables manga in print and digital forms in North America. The American Library Association's Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) division listed the first Mixed Vegetables volume among the "great graphic novels for teens" published in 2009.

Update: Added visual from manga from The Margaret's website.
