Crunchyroll to stream series premiering this April

Crunchyroll began streaming an English-subtitled trailer for the Magical Girl Ore television anime on Friday. When Crunchyroll first announced that it will stream the series it used the title "Magical Girl Boy," but the trailer features the title Magical Girl Ore.

The anime premieres on April 2 on AT-X at 10:00 p.m and on Tokyo MX the following day. A special preview broadcast of the first and second episodes premieres on March 25 on AT-X at 7:30 p.m. Crunchyroll will stream its co-production worldwide except in Japan and Greater China.

The manga centers on Saki Uno, a high school girl and rookie idol who has a crush on Mohiro, her best friend's older brother. When Mohiro is kidnapped by demons, Saki hastily makes a shady contract to be able to transform into a magical girl, which transforms her body into that of a handsome man.

Itsuro Kawasaki (Rental Magica, Shining Hearts, Tsukiuta. THE ANIMATION) is directing the anime at Pierrot+. Yukiko Ibe (Nanatsuiro Drops, Jewelpet Twinkle, Onigiri) is designing the characters.

Ayaka Ōhashi stars in the anime as Saki Uno (pictured left in visual above and below) and Kaito Ishikawa plays Saki as a man. Similarly, Sachika Misawa and Wataru Hatano voices Sakuyo Mikage (pictured right) as a woman and man, respectively.

Aya Hisakawa plays Saki's mother Sayori (pictured below left), and Kazuya Ichijou plays Kokoro-chan (below right), the mascot binding Saki and the others under a magical girl contract.
