Libra of Nil Admirari Switch Game's Promo Video Streamed

Game launches in Japan on September 20

Idea Factory began streaming a promotional video on Wednesday for the Nintendo Switch release of it and Otomate's Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Irodori Nadeshiko game. The game will launch on September 20, and will include both previous games released for the series.

The release is part of Otomate's planned 12 releases for the Switch, which also include Switch releases of Hakuōki Shinkai: Fūkaden and Code:Realize ~Bouquet of Rainbows~, as well as an as-yet unrevealed new work for Hakuōki.

Idea Factory and Otomate released the original Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Teito Genwaku Kitan romance game in April 2016. The company developed a sequel titled Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Kuroyuri Enyōtan that shipped last September. Satoi and Yuma Katagiri returned as illustrator and scenario writer, respectively.

The story of the game is set in the Taisho Era at the beginning of the 20th century — except the era did not end in 15 years (as it did in real life) but lasted 25 years. To protect her family who fell from their former glory, a girl decides to marry a man whose name she does not even know. However, before she does, her little brother attempts to commit suicide in a mysterious fire, with an old book in hand.

The Imperial Library Information Assets Management Bureau — also known as "Fukurō" — then appears before the confused girl. According to the Fukurō, there exists books called Cursed Tomes, which exert a great influence on those who read it. Moreover, the girl gained the ability to see an "Aura" around Cursed Tomes due to the incident with her brother. Despite her confusion, the girl chooses to leave the "birdcage" of her former life.

A 12-episode anime adaptation of the original game premiered in Japan on April 1. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired with the title Libra of Nil Admirari. The game is also inspiring a stage play that will run at the Zenrosai Hall: Space Zero in Tokyo from November 1-11.
