Pokémon GO Adds Special Research for Celebi

Niantic announced on Thursday that it will add Special Research tasks for Celebi for its Pokémon GO smartphone game on August 20 worldwide. Finishing the tasks allow the player to acquire the Celebi.
The Special Research for Celebi will be available for anyone who has finished the third group of tasks for the Special Research for Mew.
Celebi was previously only available for the "Pokémon GO Fest" event last July. Players who have already acquired Celebi through the event can still complete the Special Research tasks to earn Candy to power up Celebi.
The game is also adding Field Research tasks for Johto region Pokémon.
The "Research" feature was added in March earlier this year with the addition of Special Research for Mew.
The Pokémon GO app launched in select countries including the United States in July 2016.
