RErideD TV Anime's 3rd Promo Video Previews Quadrangle's Opening Theme

Anime premieres on October 3 with Crunchyroll streaming

The official website for Kadokawa's RErideD: Tokigoe no Derrida (RErideD: Derrida, who leaps through time) original anime began streaming a third promotional video on Friday. The video previews QUADRANGLE's opening theme song "Paradox." The video also reveals that the anime will get a novel adaptation from Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko imprint that will ship in two volumes on November 1 and January 1.

The anime will premiere on October 3 on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, TV Aichi, and TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu. The anime will also begin airing on BS11 on October 5. Crunchyroll will stream the anime this fall. The show will have 12 episodes.

The show stars:

Kenshō Ono as Derrida Yvain, the son of Jacques Yvain, the founder of Rebuild. He works as an engineer for the company.


Himika Akaneya as Yuri Dietrich, who has been a childhood friend of Mage's since she was little. She has a bright personality and her hobby is photography.


M.A.O as Mage Bilstein, the daughter of Nathan and a close friend to Derrida. She is very wise and has a strong sense of purpose. She respects her father's work.


Hiroo Sasaki as Vidaux Völker, a contractor for the Destruct company. He saves Derrida from the attack on the Autonomous Machine DZ.


Kaede Hondo as Mayuka, Vidaux's daughter who is always with him. She loves to read.


Kazutomi Yamamoto as Graham, the AI navigator installed on Vidaux's custom car.


Yū Kobayashi as Donna, a contractor for the Destruct company. She works as an assassin. She is sent to assassinate Derrida at Andrei's request.


Takahiro Sakurai as Nathan Bilstein, an engineer at Rebuild, Derrida's close friend, and Mage's father.


Minoru Inaba as Hans Andrei, a worker at Rebuild, and a superior to Derrida and Nathan. He works to kill Derrida and Nathan for learning the secret of the Autonomous Machine DZ.


Kenichirō Matsuda as Jacques Yvain, Derrida's father and the founder of Rebuild. He is an engineer, and the true creator of the Autonomous Machine DZ.


Kazuyuki Okitsu as Schmidt Maier, a bureaucrat. He seeks the whereabouts of Derrida and Patch File.

Wataru Komada as Katze, Schmidt's subordinate


The anime's official website describes the story:

The year is 2050. A young engineer named Derrida Yvain became famous thanks to his contribution with the development of the "Autonomous Machine DZ" at Rebuild, the manufacturing company founded by his father. One day, Derrida and his colleague Nathan find a a serious flaw in the "DZ"s and try to warn their boss but are ignored. Although aware of the danger, they reluctantly decide to put off taking any measures and go to Nathan's daughter Mage's birthday party. Next day, after spending a peaceful time, Derrida and Nathan are suddenly attacked by unknown forces. At the end of the escape, Derrida falls into a cold sleep machine and 10 years later, he wakes up to a devastated world in the middle of a war. Being attacked by a group of out of control "DZ"s, Deriida almost gives up but he recall's Nathan's last words.

"Take care of Mage."

Despite the harsh fate that has fallen upon him, Derrida sets off to seek Mage.

Beyond the time, we reunite — this is the story of a journey for hope.

Takuya Satō (Steins;Gate, Armitage III: Poly-Matrix, Selector Infected Wixoss) is directing the anime at Geek Toys, and illustrator Yoshitoshi ABe (Serial Experiments Lain, Texhnolyze, Haibane Renmei) is designing the characters. Koji Watanabe (Ace Attorney, Blue Gender) is adapting those character designs for animation, and Kenji Konuta (Servamp, Library War, Blood Lad) is handling the series composition.

M.A.O and Himika Akaneya are performing the ending theme song "Toki no Tsubasa" as their characters.
