Game launches in Japan on October 18, in N. America/Europe on October 19

Nintendo began streaming an introduction video on Monday for the Switch version of Bandai Namco Entertainment's Dark Souls: Remastered game.

The game will launch on October 19 in North America and Europe, and on October 18 in Japan. The Solaire of Astora amiibo will launch the same day.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game was originally slated for May 25 but then delayed to a general summer release.

The game's PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions launched on May 25 in North America and Europe and on May 24 in Japan.

The HD remaster includes the main game and the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. Players can build their own characters with many weaponry, armor, magic, and crafting options. Players can team up or fight against each other in groups of up to six people among nine covenants online with dedicated servers.

Bandai Namco Entertainment released the Dark Souls III game in Japan in March 2016, and the game launched in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in April 2016. The game set Bandai Namco Entertainment's record for most successful day-one sales, and Bandai Namco Entertainment America's record for fastest-selling game.
