Manga creator working on 4 chapters before serialization

Manga creator Kanae Hazuki revealed on her Twitter account on Monday that she is working on a new serialized manga, but that it will take some time before the serialization starts.

She noted that she had sent the storyboard for the first chapter to her publisher and it was approved, and that she would start work on the storyboard for the second chapter soon. She said that she plans to finish up storyboards for four chapters, as well as some color pages, before the manga can start.

Hazuki launched the Say "I love you". manga in 2008 in Kodansha's Dessert magazine, and ended it in July 2017. Kodansha published the manga's 18th and final compiled book volume (seen right) in September 2017. Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English, and it released the 18th volume last December.

The manga inspired a television anime series that Crunchyroll streamed as it aired in Japan in 2012. Sentai Filmworks released the anime on home video in North America. The manga's 11th volume in Japan shipped with an original anime DVD in 2013.

The manga additionally inspired a live-action film that premiered in July 2014.
