Re:Stage! Dream Days♪ TV Anime Reveals Video, Visual, Cast, Staff, 2019 Premiere

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

The official website for the Re:Stage! Dream Days television anime of Re:Stage!, Monthly Comptiq magazine and Pony Canyon's multimedia project about idol singers in middle school, revealed a teaser video, visual, staff, cast, and 2019 premiere for the show on Friday. The video previews the main characters and cast members.

The cast members returning from previous installments in the franchise include:

Shin Katagai (My Sweet Tyrant, Neo Angelique Abyss) is directing the series as Yumeta Company and Graphinica. Motohiro Taniguchi (Yuruyuri San Hai!, My Sweet Tyrant) is designing the characters based on original designs by Tsubasa Izumi (Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka, Mashiroiro Symphony - The color of lovers), who illustrated the franchise's novels. The novels' writer team yoree. is in charge of series composition.

The story centers around the first-year student Mana Shikimiya (Amane Makino) as she pursues her dreams of winning at Prism Stage, the competition that determines the top middle-school idol.

The project has already spawned a novel serialized in Kadokawa's Monthly Comptiq magazine, a smartphone game app, concerts, events, and music CDs. In addition to the anime, the project will hold a national tour next year with the main group KiRaRe as well as the other groups.

The smartphone app launched in Japan for Android in July 2017 and on iOS in August 2017. The novel by original creator team yoree. and illustrator Tsubasu Izumi launched in Monthly Comptiq in the August 2015 issue. Kadokawa published the second compiled volume in January 2017.
