Unsatisfied by the recent food promotion tie-ins for the Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary CG film? Maybe french fries and ramen aren't high-end enough for the distinguished Saint Seiya fan. Look no further then, because Imperial Enterprises' has a limited-edition gold-plated watch modeled after the Cloths in the series for 39,800 yen (about US$391).
The store offers a payment plan of seven monthly payments of 5,800 yen (US$57) if the flat rate is too high. The watches are expected to ship in early October.
Only 1,200 watches will be made, each with gold-colored stainless steel band and a dial etched with the 12 Signs of the Zodiac. The standard bezel has the Zodiac names in English, but can be switched for an included alternate bezel resembling a shield. The watch's back is engraved with an image of Seiya and the watch's individual serial number.
Watch number 0001 was presented to series creator Masami Kurumada.
