Mighty No. 9 Latest Gameplay Footage Shows Transformations

Game's beta available now for beta-test backers

The latest gameplay footage for Keiji Inafune and Comcept's Mighty No. 9 multi-platform video game shows some of the main character's transformations and game stages. The company showed off the title at this year's Pax Prime event in Seattle.

Comcept is also streaming the game's "No. 2 Theme" song by composer Manami Matsumae.

Inafune announced at Pax Prime on Saturday that the game's beta is available now for beta-test backers.

Inafune (Megaman) and his company raised more than US$3.5 million in its crowdfunding campaign for the game in October. The side-scrolling adventure will be released in Spring 2015 for PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The game has a second fundraiser through PayPal to add bonus content to the already funded Mighty No. 9 video game. The first goal is US$200,000 to add a full Japanese and English dub.

Alongside Inafune, Naoya Tomita (Mega Man level design, Mega Man 2 stages, Mega Man 5 & 8 character designs) will be designing the game, and Takenori Kimoto a.k.a. "Kimo Kimo" (Darkstalkers 3, Vampire Hunter 2 character design) is designing the characters. Original Mega Man soundtrack composer Manami Matsumae will be providing the music.

In addition to the game, Inafune is in talks with Contradiction Films writer and producer Tim Carter for a possible Mighty No. 9 live-action adaptation. The game will get an CG-animated series by Digital Frontier.
