Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, Tales of Xillia 2 Games' Launch Trailers Streamed

Bandai Namco Games began streaming the launch trailers on Tuesday for the North American release of its Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment PlayStation Vita game and its Tales of Xillia 2 PlayStation 3 game.

In Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, by exploring the 76 cities in Aincrad, players can pick up new friends and party members for their adventures. Kirito can also deepen his relationship with his partners by hanging out with them in the cities, going out on dates, or holding hands. The game will include characters Asuna (Haruka Tomatsu), Lisbeth (Ayahi Takagaki), Silica (Rina Hidaka), Yui (Kanae Itō), Leafa (Ayana Taketatsu), Shinon (Miyuki Sawashiro), Strea (Sachika Misawa), Sachi (Saori Hayami), Kibaou (Tomokazu Seki), and Argo (Shiori Izawa). A new, original character named Philia (Yui Ishikawa) will play an integral part in the game's plot.

In the game's special "adventure mode," players have the option to create their own characters and play with up to eight other people online to go on quests in the Hollow Area. The game also has a dating element where players can go on dates that could possibly end with pillow talk.

Bandai Namco Games will offer a free download content pack for the North American version of the game from August 19 to November 18. The pack includes a wedding dress, dress shirt, nightie, and school swimsuit costumes. Bandai Namco Games will also release a "major update" for the game on September 23. The update will raise the level cap from 200 to 250, and will add an estimated 30 hours of extra gameplay.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is available digitally via the PlayStation Store.

Tales of Xillia 2 is available now in North America and will be available in Europe on August 22. The game is available in a standard and "Ludger Kresnik Collector's Edition." The collector's edition will include a figure of Ludger, a compact mirror replica of Elle's pocket watch, a CD including selected music tracks, an art book, classic Tales of costume DLC, and a Rollo plush charm. The set retails for US$129.95. The European collector's edition will include a metal case featuring Rollo instead of the plush charm.

Tales of Xillia 2 centers around Ludger Kresnik, a young man and a skilled chef who lives in Trigleph city in Elympios with his brother Julius and their cat Rollo. He strives to follow in his brother's footsteps and work as an agent in the prestigious Spirius Corporation, a large scale and illustrious company that develops technology for every field imaginable. One day, through a chance encounter, he meets Elle Marta: a young girl travelling alone attempting to reunite with her father at the mythic “Land of Canaan” and ends up accompanying her. His choice to accompany her will send the two on a journey that will change the fate of the two worlds forever.

Namco Bandai Games released Tales of Xillia 2 in Japan in November 2012.
