We asked photographer Colin Kelly, "What tips can you offer cosplayers to get the shots that they want?"
"Communication – let photographers know something about the character, especially if he or she has no idea what the cosplay is based on. Be aggressive - get in the photographers faces and let them know you want your photo taken. There are so many people around sometimes cons can be a blur; you won't get noticed. Also, don't congregate in small circles with other cosplayers, it gives the impression that you don't want to be bothered. If you want your photo taken, stand out!"
