Kamen Rider Agito's Jun Kaname stars as salaryman-turned-hitman

The 2,432th issue of Nihonbungeisha's Weekly Manga Goraku magazine is announcing on Friday that a live-action series adaptation of Hiroshi Mutō's Hitman from Today (Kyō kara Hitman) crime action manga has been green-lit. Jun Kaname (Kamen Rider Agito, live-action Casshern and Grave of the Fireflies) plays an ordinary 34-year-old salaryman who is forced to replace a legendary hitman.

Models Mizuki Yamamoto (Hunter × Hunter -The Last Mission-, live-action Black Butler and Kin Kyori Renai) and Nanao also star as Chinatsu and Misako, respectively. Hitoshi Iwamoto (live-action MW, Ashita ga Arusa) is directing the show, which will begin streaming on BeeTV's d-Video service on October 1.

The original manga has been running in Weekly Manga Goraku since 2005, and Nihonbungeisha will publish the 29th compiled book volume on Thursday. The manga already inspired a live-action film in 2009.
