Viz Media Europe Announces European Distribution of Terraformars
VIZ MEDIA EUROPE is thrilled to announce the acquisition of TV, DVD/BluBray, VOD and Merchandising of the “TERRAFORMARS” license for Europe.
Co-produced by leading Japanese publisher Shueisha and Warner Entertainment Japan, “TERRAFORMARS” is the new science fiction animated TV series adapted from the famous Yū Sasuga & Kenichi Tachibana manga, that sold over 5 million copies in Japan to date!This thrilling science fiction adventure, between Alien and Mimic, is published in the Young Jump magazine from Shueisha in Japan. “TERRAFORMARS” is already licensed for publishing in France, Italy, Germany, Spain and the UK.
“TERRAFORMARS” narrates the arrival of the first humans on Mars, once its atmosphere was rendered breathable. Because of the successive environmental disasters that struck Earth, humankind had no other choices than to attempt the colonization of the Red Planet…But while the first reconnaissance team seems to have disappeared, the second team is going to discover the horrible consequences of that Terraformation…
“TERRAFORMARS” will be broadcast on Japanese television starting 26th of September 2014, and will be followed by a simulcast broadcast across many European countries.

TERRAFORMARS–Synopsis:
In an attempt to colonize Mars, 21st century scientists were tasked
with warming up the planet so that humans could survive on its
surface. They came up with a plan of sending cockroaches and
mold to the surface. 500 years later, the first manned ship to Mars
lands on the planet and the six crew members are attacked by
giant mutated humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical
strength labeled as “Terraformars”...
