Aniplex of America to Release Silver Spoon Complete 2nd Season DVD

SANTA MONICA, CA (September 27, 2014) –Anime fans who were anxiously waiting to see what the rustic students of the anime series Silver Spoon were up to next, their questions have been answered! Aniplex of America, Inc. has announced at their industry panel at Anime Weekend Atlanta (Atlanta, GA.) their plans to release the second season of Silver Spoon in a complete DVD set on December 16th. Pre-orders for this product will begin next Monday (9/29) on their official Silver Spoon homepage (www.AniplexUSA.com/silverspoon) and through official retailers. This product will be available for sale in the U.S., Canada, Central and South Americas only.
Adapted from the original manga series created by author, Hiromu Arakawa (Fullmetal Alchemist), Silver Spoon has been awarded both the 5th Manga Taisho Award and the 58th Shogakukan Manga Award in 2012. The unique story follows Yugo Hachiken, who decides to ttend an agricultural high school in the countryside in order to escape the many pressures from a life in the city. The series demonstrates Yugo's growth as he successfully cultivates bonds with his classmates and the farm animals at Oezo Agricultural High School a.k.a. Ezono. The anime series is produced by A-1 Pictures notable for their work on popular titles such as Sword Art Online II, Magi: The Kingdom of Magic, Blue Exorcist, and Oreimo 2.
In the second season of Silver Spoon, Yugo continues to explore life on the farm as he enters a new academic term at Ezono and tackles new responsibilities in hopes to find his own dream. Of course, Yugo learns quickly that with new responsibilities also come new obstacles he must overcome. But as Yugo tries to confront his own issues, he learns that many of his friends are also experiencing hardships that Yugo may be able to help with.
The Complete 2nd Season DVD Set features all 11 episodes of the second season of Silver Spoon with the original Japanese audio with English subtitles on 3 DVD discs. The bonus contents feature the textless opening, textless ending, and commercials.
