Handwritten Short Anime by Seasoned Animator to be Funded

“GO! SAMURAI”

TOKYO, JAPAN – October 21, 2014 – Awesome Japan is pleased to announce the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for “GO! SAMURAI”, a samurai-themed anime by legendary animator Keiichirō Kimura. He was the animation director of countless popular anime including but not limited to Cyborg 009 and Tiger Mask. He is also renowned for his highly influential action-genre animation.

“GO! SAMURAI” is a rough sketch animation (素描動画 Sobyo-doga) where each and every image will be hand-drawn in pencil by the legendary animator. It will consist of approximately 2000 frame works focused on a single samurai that fights for his life against 100 of his vicious enemies. It will be around 5 minutes duration.

This project is a collaboration between Mr. Keiichirō Kimura and Awesome Japan Inc.
