School of Monsters Manga Gets New Flash Anime

Robinson Haruhara's manga about wolf girl inspires 3rd anime episode

The December issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine is announcing on Tuesday that Robinson Haruhara's Gakumon! ~Ōkami Shōjo wa Kujikenai~ (School of Monsters! Wolf Girl Won't Give Up) manga will get a new Flash anime adaptation. In the new episode, Shushu and her friends go to the ocean in an original story by Haruhara.

The new episode will begin streaming on December 4 to celebrate the release of the manga's first compiled book volume, which will ship in Japan the same day. The cast and staff from the first two Flash anime episodes are returning.

Kenshirō Morii (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere web videos) is directing the anime at Studio Moriken (Attack on Titan Chimi Chara Gekijō). Sōshi Iguchi is designing the characters, and Shintarō Mori (Love Live! School idol project opening "Bokura wa Ima no Naka de") is composing the music.

The original manga's story centers around Shushu, a girl who enrolls into a monster school as a "wolfman candidate." However, she keeps the fact that she is a girl a secret. Yumi Uchiyama is playing Shushu, and Hiro Shimono is voicing Juzu, the taciturn son of the school's principal. Other roles include Naomi Maruyama as the dorm head Timid and Shūichi Tatsunami as Shushu's class representative Kiisa Fraiger.

The first Flash anime adaptation debuted in April, followed by the second episode in May. Both episodes are currently streaming on the Niconico video service, YouTube, and other venues.

Haruhara launched the manga in the May issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine. Haruhara's Senyū. comedy manga also inspired an anime last year.
