Sibling Comedy Manga Ane Log Gets 3rd OVA

posted on by Kyle Cardine
2nd OVA ships with 6th volume of Kenji Taguchi's manga on Thursday

The wrap-around jacket band on the sixth volume of Kenji Taguchi's comedy manga Ane Log - Moyako Nee-san no Tomaranai Monologue (Sister's Log - Moyako's Monologue That Won't Stop) announced on Thursday that the series' third original video anime (OVA) will ship with the manga's seventh volume. The third OVA will be titled "Watashi no Otōto wa Natsu ni Kaihōteki ni Naru Hentai de Aru" (My Brother is a Pervert Who Becomes More Open in Summer).

The second OVA, titled "Watashi no Otōto wa Waraeru hodo ni Hentai de Aru" (My Brother is Such a Pervert it Makes Me Laugh), shipped with the limited edition of the manga's sixth volume on Thursday. The first OVA, titled "Watashi no Otōto wa Hentai de Aru" (My Brother is a Pervert), shipped with the limited edition of the fifth volume on September 18.

Taguchi launched the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2012. The manga's story centers on Moyako Konoe (played by Ami Koshimizu) and her younger brother Akira (Takahiro Mizushima). When they were younger, Akira proposed to her, so Moyako thinks he is a pervert who has fallen in love with his older sister. Moyako's misunderstanding leads her to create wild delusions about her brother.

Tetsuo Ichimura (episode director for Bleach, Durarara!!) is directing the second OVA at Brains Base with scripts by Natsuko Takahashi (Romeo × Juliet, Bleach). Eriko Itō (Hamatora) is handling the character design.

In addition to Koshimizu and Mizushima, other cast members include Satomi Akesaka as Kasumi Kurose, Mariko Honda as Fūka Saeki, Aoi Yūki as Burisa Umehira, and Subaru Kimura as Yōhei Fukuyama. Koshimizu will perform the ending theme.

The manga previously inspired a drama CD and a fan disc with six Flash anime shorts. Koshimizu (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere's Tomo, Code Geass' Kallen), Mizushima (Kokoro Connect's Taichi, Guilty Crown's Yahiro), and Akesaka (Wake Up, Girls!'s Reina, Coppelion's Taeko) also starred in both the drama CD and Flash anime.
