Compile Heart Teases Fairy Fencer F for PS4 in Video

Yoshitaka Amano, Nobuo Uematsu, Toshiki Inoue, Neptunia team reunite after earlier PS3 game

The official website for Compile Heart's Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force game for PlayStation 4 began streaming a teaser video for the game on Tuesday. The video confirms the returning staff from the original Fairy Fencer F PS3 game.

Compile Heart announced Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force at the SCEJA Press Conference in September last year. The segment from the press conference described the game:

This is the story of godly weapons left on earth by their creators. They are known as Furies. Now that the Vile God has awoken. They will have to write a new page in mankind's history... Or face annihilation... To change fate, one needs to walk the darkest path...

Like the original Fairy Fencer F, the game is a collaboration between Yoshitaka Amano (Final Fantasy, Vampire Hunter D), musical composer Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy, Blue Dragon, Guin Saga, Ah! My Goddess: The Movie) and his Earthbound Papas band, and the team behind Compile Heart's Neptunia games. Toshiki Inoue (Fist of the North Star, Tenjho Tenge, Death Note) will once again serve as scenario writer for the game.

Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force is slated for release this year. Kadokawa's Weekly Famitsu magazine will publish more details on the new elements that the PlayStation 4 game adds on Thursday.

Compile Heart released the original turn-based role-playing game Fairy Fencer F for PlayStation 3 in Japan in 2013. NIS America released the game on September 16 in North America and on September 19 in Europe.
