Fanime to Host Madoka Magica Voice Actress Ai Nonaka

Japanese voice actress Ai Nonaka (Puella Magi Madoka Magica's Kyoko, Another's Yukari) and animator Kazuhiro Soeta (Mekaku City Actors, Cowboy Bebop) will appear at this year's FanimeCon event in San Jose, California. FanimeCon 2015 will take place at the McEnery Convention Center from May 22–25.

Nonaka's numerous voice acting roles have included Mahō Sensei Negima!'s Konoka Konoe, Clannad's Fuuko Ibuki, Toradora!'s Maya Kihara, and Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei's Kafuka Fūra. She has also performed theme songs for anime such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Negima!, and Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei.

Nonaka's attendance at Fanime will mark her first appearance in the western United States. She previously attended Otakon in 2012.

Soeta is known for his key animation work in Record of Lodoss War, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, Cowboy Bebop, and more recently as a storyboard artist for Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl and Mekaku City Actors. Fanime will mark his first appearance in the U.S.

The convention will also host voice actor Patrick Seitz and author Gilles Poitras.
