Atlus USA PR Head: Company Will Release The Legend of Legacy Game

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

While on the "Shin Megami Tensei Social Link" podcast, which went live on Saturday, Atlus USA PR Manager John Hardin said that the company "did announce" that it would release FuRyu's The Legend of Legacy Nintendo 3DS role-playing game.

Hardin said on the podcast (at the 46:45 mark):

It's not to say that we're not looking beyond just AQUAPLUS and [Spike Chunsoft] and everything. I hope we see a lot more Japanese games come over here. Actually, we did announce Legend of Legacy is coming over here. And we have another one in the can too that I can't talk about just yet ... But another really niche Japanese game that actually isn't even out yet, we're bringing that over for the 3DS later this year.

Atlus USA has not officially announced that it will release The Legend of Legacy game in the West.

When asked on Twitter about his statement on the podcast, Hardin responded, "surely I said Stella Glow!"

Atlus USA previously revealed in March that it will release Sega and Imageepoch's Stella Glow game for the Nintendo 3DS. That game will ship in Japan on June 4.

Masataka Matsura (Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky) directed The Legend of Legacy. Ryō Hirao (Final Fantasy XII) designed the characters based on original designs by Tomomi Kobayashi (SaGa Frontier, Romancing SaGa, Rune Factory 3). Masashi Hamauzu (Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy X, Unlimited Saga) composed the soundtrack. The story of gods' legacy and truth begins on Avalon, the legendary land that has awakened from an eternal slumber. Players can select between seven protagonists for their party of adventurers on the island of Avalon.

The game shipped in Japan on January 22.
