Baba: 'I would like to talk about this matter on a separate occasion'

Hideo Baba, the producer of Bandai Namco Games' Tales of role-playing video game franchise spoke at a screening of the Tales of Zestiria: Dōshi no Yoake special anime at the Machi Asobi Vol. 14 event on Tuesday at the ufotable CINEMA. In his talk, he apologized to fans for causing them to worry about the series, saying, "In regards to the Tales of series, I sincerely apologize for causing worry...I would like to talk about this matter on a separate occasion."

Baba also commented that he feels the pressure of the responsibility of the 20th anniversary of the franchise, and noted that he wants to continue to work hard at his duty.

Tales of Festival, the annual official event celebrating the franchise, will be held on June 6 and 7.

The game shipped on January 22 in Japan. Bandai Namco Entertainment will ship the game for the PS3 in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australasia this fall and it will include both Japanese and English audio tracks. The anime special inspired by the game premiered in Japan last December.
