Tokyo Ghoul Stage Play's Cast Shown in Costume

The official website for the stage play of Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul manga unveiled the cast in costume on Thursday:
The play will run at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo from July 2 to July 8 and at the Kyōto Gekijō from July 18 to July 20.
Isamu Kayano is directing the stage play, and Chūji Mikasano is writing the script. Mikasano provided the script for the Tokyo Ghoul anime's first season and was in charge of series composition for both the first and second seasons. Gō Sakabe is composing the music for the stage play, while Daisuke Shimizu is choreographing the theatrical combat.
In the original manga's story, mysterious "ghouls" haunt Tokyo and devour humans. People are gripped by fear of these ghouls whose identities are masked in mystery. An ordinary college student named Kaneki encounters Rize, a girl who is an avid reader like him, at the café he frequents. Little does he realize that his fate will change overnight.
Ishida launched the series in Weekly Young Jump magazine in 2011, and Shueisha shipped the 14th and final compiled volume last October. The series has more than 12 million copies in circulation. Viz plans to release the manga's first compiled volume in North America in June. Ishida launched the Tokyo Ghoul:re manga with a different main character in December.
The second television anime season inspired by Ishida's original manga premiered in Japan on January 8. Ishida was credited with creating the original manga for the first season, but Ishida is also credited with the original story concept for the second season.
Funimation streamed an English Broadcast Dub of the anime's second season as it aired in Japan. The North American anime distributor also streamed the first series as it aired in Japan last summer.
