Sengoku Koihime ~Otome Kenran Sengoku Emaki~ Versus! Manga Ends on Wednesday

Manga about reimagined female Japanese sengoku warlords originally launched last June

The July issue of ASCII Media Works' Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine is announcing on Wednesday that Kashi is ending his Sengoku Koihime ~Otome Kenran Sengoku Emaki~ Versus! manga in the same magazine issue.

The manga is based on BaseSon's 2013 Sengoku Koihime ~Otome Kenran Sengoku Emaki~ "historical adventure game," a spinoff of its Koihime Musō series. While Koihime Musō reimagined the Chinese literary classic Romance of the Three Kingdoms with a mostly female cast, Sengoku Koihime reimagines the warriors of Japan's Sengoku (warring states) period as female. The manga Sengoku Koihime ~Otome Kenran Sengoku Emaki~ Versus! tells the story of Takeda Hikari Harunobu, the Tiger of Kai, and Nagao Miku Kagetora, the dragon of Echigo, based on the historical Japanese figures Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin.

Kashi launched his manga in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh last June. Kadokawa published the manga's first compiled book volume last December 19. The announcement notes that Kadokawa will ship the manga's second and last volume on July 27.

Two other manga based on the Sengoku Koihime have been serialized. Yukino Amagai launched his Sengoku Koihime ~Otome Kenran Sengoku Emaki~ manga in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G's Comic magazine's inaugural issue in April 2014. Kadokawa published the manga's first compiled book volume last December 19. Kumakō Hisama launched the Sengoku Koihime ~Otome Kenran Momoiro Sōshi~ manga in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Hime magazine last May, and ended it last December. Kadokawa published the manga's first compiled book volume on January 14.
