Weekly ASCII Magazine Ends Print Run, Goes Digital
posted on by Karen Ressler
Kadokawa's Weekly ASCII computer magazine published its final print issue on Tuesday. The next issue will be available for download on June 2.
In addition to computer and game news, the magazine has serialized manga, including Nawoki Karasawa's short gag manga Dennou-Nawo-San.
The magazine also publishes four-panel comics online under its ShūAsu Comic imprint. Currently running series include Yuki Yukihiro's Wareware wa Neko de Aru, tugeneko's Kare to Karetto., and Robin and Kappa Shiibara's 4-Panel spinoff of the Puzzles & Dragons game series, Pazudorama!.
Weekly ASCII first launched in 1989 as EYE-COM. It has already been available digitally through iTunes.
Update: After the magazine ends the manga's 22-year-long print run, Nawoki Karasawa's Dennou-Nawo-san manga will continue on the digital pay service cakes every month. Thanks, hyojodoji. Source: Comic Natalie
