Flying Witch Manga About Teen Witch Gets TV Anime

posted on by Egan Loo
Chihiro Ishizuka's story of 15-year-old witch who moves to northern Japan

A television anime adaptation of Chihiro Ishizuka's Flying Witch manga has been green-lit. The comical story follows the 15-year-old witch Makoto Kowata and the other boys and girls in her daily life. With her black cat Chito, the somewhat aimless girl moved from Yokohama to live with her second cousin at Aomori in verdant northern Japan.

Ishizuka launched the manga in the September 2012 issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine (Attack on Titan, The Heroic Legend of Arslan), and Kodansha published the third compiled volume in April. The fourth volume will ship on April 8, 2016. The anime will air on NTV, Aomori Broadcasting Corporation, and other stations. The staff, cast, and other details will be announced later.
