mixi Formally Apologizes for Monster Fest Debacle

posted on by Carlos Cadorniga

mixi Inc. president Hiroki Morita and X Flag Studio director Hiroki Kimura have released a formal statement addressing the disastrous Monster Fest that took place on August 2.

"We have yet to apologize for not being able to accommodate the overwhelming number of people that attended Monster Fest and keeping them waiting for inordinate amounts of times," said a post on the official Monster Strike website.

"Because of our inexperienced staff, we were also very slow in responding to those who became physically ill at the venue. We deeply apologize for the trouble that we have caused for those who were highly anticipating this event."

While they still plan to hold events in the future, they do plan to take precautions in their preparation.

"We want to learn from this so that the next time we hold such an event, we will be able to provide a safe and fun event for everyone to enjoy."

In-game currency in the form of 10 orbs is being offered as an apologetic gesture. Five free characters will also be available to individual players on an undetermined date.
