Video shows Mardān Rush, Charge Shift, Skill Cards mechanics

The official website of Koei Tecmo Games' upcoming Arslan: The Warriors of Legend (Arslan Senki x Musou) action game began streaming the game's second promo video on Friday. The video previews the game's mechanics and features.

The video shows the Mardān Rush feature in action. The mechanic allows players to lead a troop of soldiers and deliver heavy damage to the enemy army. Players will be able to control cavalry, archers, or infantry to utilize each group's special abilities. The feature will allow players to overcome obstacles, attack distant opponents, and rescue allies in strategic gameplay. Additionally, the video also shows the Charge Shift mechanic, which allows players to string multiple combos by changing weapons.

The game will contain more than 200 Skill Cards that can change a character's abilities, and it will also feature side stories that will go deeper into the story.

The official website previously streamed the first promotional video for the game in July. The website also streamed introduction videos for Arslan and Falangies on Wednesday.

The game's confirmed playable characters so far include Arslan, Falangies, Daryun, Narsus, Elam, Gieve, Alfried, and Kishward.

Koei Tecmo Games will release the game in North America and Europe for the PS3, PS4, and Xbox One. The game will be available in Europe as physical releases for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on PlayStation 3 digitally.

Koei Tecmo Games and Omega Force are developing the Warriors-style game based on Hiromu Arakawa and Yoshiki Tanaka's The Heroic Legend of Arslan manga. Players will be able to reenact scenes from the manga in the game. The game's story will start with the battle of Atropatene.

The game was originally slated to ship in Japan on September 17, but it has been delayed until October 1. No Xbox One release has been announced in Japan.

The game's regular edition will retail in Japan for 7,800 yen (about US$63), and the download edition will retail for 6,762 yen (US$54). Koei Tecmo Games will also release a "Treasure Box" edition of the game that will come with the following: an original soundtrack CD, an "Official Settings Documents Collection," a crystal frame stand, and a cleaner cloth. The Treasure Box edition retails for 12,800 yen (US$103).
