Love Live! Film's Japanese Blu-ray Contains English Subtitles

Bandai Visual is listing the Japanese Blu-ray release of the Love Live! The School Idol Movie film as containing English subtitles for the film. Bandai Visual will release the film on Blu-ray in both limited and regular editions on December 15. The limited edition will cost 9,800 yen (about US$80.99), while the regular edition will cost 6,800 yen (about US$56).
The film premiered in Japan on June 13, and earned 400 million yen (about US$3.24 million) on 121 screens in its first two days. The film eventually earned more than 2.4 billion yen (about US$19 million) as of August 16, 65 days after the film opened at the box office. It has surpassed the 2.08-billion-yen (about US$17.7-million) box-office earnings of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion film, and the 2.28-billion-yen (about US$18.2-million) gross of the Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora no Hikkoshi Monogatari ~Saboten Daishūgeki film.
The film will premiere in select cities in the United States on September 12. The film will also screen in Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei, and Indonesia.
