Video outlines story events, samples battle system for fall PSP/PS Vita game

Video game publisher Gaijinworks began streaming a 25-minute English video on Tuesday for its upcoming release of the Summon Night 5 tactical role-playing game. The video previews some of the game's events and battle system.

Gaijinworks will release the game digitally on the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita (via the system's built-in PSP emulation) this fall. Gaijinworks will also release a pre-order only physical version, which will contain a multi-sided full color insert, the game UMD with a full-color label, full-color game manual, one of two randomly inserted 14"x19" posters, a hologram serial number, a download code for the digital copy of the game, and the game's full original soundtrack, which features 37 music selections from the Japanese original soundtrack release.

Summon Night 5's story is once again set in the alternate world of Lyndbaum, except in a bustling town called Seivaaru that is similar to Japan. The anime studio ufotable (Fate/Zero, The Garden of Sinners) animated the game's anime sequences. Emiko Bleu performed the game's opening theme song produced by Sing Like Talking band member Chiaki Fujita, and Japanese game developer Felistella planned and developed the game with staff members from the previous entries in the series, including Takeshi Iitsuka and Kei Miyakozuki. Namco Bandai Games shipped the game in Japan in May 2013.

The October issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine announced on August 21 that Bandai Namco Entertainment is developing Summon Night 6: Lost Borders, the newest entry in the Summon Night series of tactical role-playing games. Bandai Namco Entertainment will release the game in Japan in spring 2016. The game is commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Summon Night franchise.
