Motoko Kusanagi has gotten numerous redesigns since the character was first drawn by Masamune Shirow in 1989. Her latest incarnation was in this summer's Ghost in the Shell: New Movie which premiered in Japanese theaters in June. Good Smile Company has recreated the character in a new figma set for release in February.

Kusanagi comes suited up in her thermo-optical camouflage suit and ready for action her visor, assault rifle, and pistol. Three faces; smiling, clenching her teeth, and a collected expression; are included.

The figma costs 5,370 yen (US$45). Customers who pre-order through the Good Smile Company shop will get Thermo-Optical Camouflage Leg Parts as a bonus.

Union Creative released its own Motoko with optical camouflage based on Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex in September.
