Metal Gear Solid V's Unreleased Soundtrack Comes with Cassette Tape

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's two-disc original soundtrack was released on September 2 but was noticeably missing some songs. A second soundtrack, Metal Gear Vocal Tracks, was also released but even combined the two releases don't include all of the game's produced songs. This might have something to do with the alleged 30 commissioned tracks that were never even used.

Konami is now releasing a third soundtrack for the game titled Metal Gear Solid V Original Soundtrack: The Lost Tapes. The limited edition version will bundle a cassette tape with the same track listing.

Tapes are collectible items in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes that reveal additional story elements when players collect all of them. They appear again in Phantom Pain to let players change music in certain locations.

The exact songs aren't available yet, but the soundtrack includes music heard from the in-game boombox.

Metal Gear Solid V Original Soundtrack: The Lost Tapes will go on sale on March 30 for 3,996 yen (US$32).
