posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

The Pokémon Red & Blue video games' soundtrack are getting the vinyl treatment. Moonshake records has added every one of Junichi Masuda's original compositions for the game onto 500 red and white vinyl records that looks like a Pokéball. Additional tracks from the anime series are also included.

The limited pressing is available at Turntable Labs until supplies run out for US$49.95.

The Pokémon Company International kicked off 2016 with a series of announcements to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pokémon Red & Blue. Included in that announcement were Nendoroids of the game's classic starters' evolutions and protagonist, new clothing, trading cards, special Pokémon Red & Blue 3DS bundles, and re-release its Pokémon amiibo, like Jigglypuff and Charizard.

Earthbound (known as Mother 2 in Japan) had its score remastered on vinyl for a release planned this year. Pokémon game soundtracks are also available on iTunes.
