Project seeks to release otome game on Steam, mobile devices

Digital content company Gloczus and publisher b2g Studio launched a Kickstarter campaign on Wednesday to localize the otome game Beastmaster and Prince -Flower & Snow- (Mōjūtsukai to Ōji-sama ~Flower & Snow~) into English for release on PC via Steam. The project is seeking US$150,000 by March 12.

The companies have also set a stretch goal of US$151,000 to port the game to iOS and Android devices.

As of press time, the project has raised US$26,353.

Idea Factory's Otomate brand released Beastmaster and Prince -Flower & Snow- on the PlayStation Vita in Japan in June. Otomate released the first Beastmaster and Prince game on PlayStation 2 in June 2010 and on the PlayStation Portable in June 2011. The company also released the Beastmaster and Prince -Snow Bride- fandisc for PS2 in February 2011 and on the PSP in February 2012.

Gloczus describes the story:

The story begins with our protagonist, Tiana, who dreams of becoming a great Beastmaster. In her travels she encounters four Princes from the neighboring kingdom of Farzan, who were cursed and transformed into animals by a witch. The first Prince, Matheus became a Lion; the second, Alfred, became a Wolf; the third Prince, Lucia, became a Duck; and the fourth, Erik, became a Rabbit. Tiana wants to save the Princes and will do all she can to lift the curse. However, they soon learn that the curse was only the beginning of a conspiracy brewing within the kingdom…

Backer rewards include a digital copy of the game, pin badges, clear files, digital info book, digital art book, pillow cases, wall scrolls, tote bags, and posters.

Gloczus previously teamed with Idea Factory International to port the Amnesia: Memories and Hakuōki romance games on iOS and Android devices in English. b2g Studio previously ran a Kickstarter to create an iOS and Android visual novel based on Gloczus' Unlight Facebook browser game, but the project was unsuccessful.
