Anime Fan Fest Celebrates 10 Years of Fullmetal Alchemist

Voice Talent and Director Come to New Jersey to Celebrate the 2015 10 Year Anniversary of this Anime Classic!

FEBRUARY 10, SOMERSET, NJ–As excitement builds towards New Jersey's premier event for anime fandom on May 6-8, MAD Event Management announces a weekend-long celebration of Fullmetal Alchemist!

First announced in November 2015, Anime Fan Fest will be a celebration of all things Otaku at the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, New Jersey. This premier event will be presented in partnership with Otaku USA Magazine, and features a star studded guest list of voice actors, cosplayers, and more!

Attending the show from Fullmetal Alchemist will be Director, Mike McFarland, as well Vic Mignogna (Edward Elric) and Aaron Mitchell Dismuke (Alphonse Elric), with more to be announced!

“Even though I had played roles in 30 or 40 anime series before Fullmetal Alchemist, nothing grabbed my interest and my heart as much as FMA” said Vic Mignogna, voice of Edward Elric. Within the first few episodes I began to realize that I was part of something really special. It was a great privilege to play the little pipsqueak :)”

Mignogna continues “Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the best anime series ever made. I don't say that because of my involvement at all. Even if there had never been an English version, I feel that the story, the themes, the characters, the music and the emotion are among the best ever conceived of. What an honor to have been a part of it!”

Fullmetal Alchemist" was the first anime series I worked on as a voice director that truly touched me emotionally. It had a huge cast, a roller coaster of events and circumstances, and feelings that were explored through the storytelling and the performances” said Mike McFarland. “The actors had to dig deep to match the levels of pain, frustration, heartache, love, and joy that their characters experienced onscreen, and it was an honor and privilege to help guide them there. Arakawa's tale of two brothers and the journey the go on is a monumental achievement in storytelling, and I am so fortunate to have been involved in helping to bring the tale to a new audience”
