Among 585 female respondents in their 20s, these were the top choices:

1 One Piece Eiichiro Oda 55.9%
2 Slam Dunk Takehiko Inoue 19.1%
3 Fullmetal Alchemist Hiromu Arakawa 12.7%
4 Tenshi Nanka ja Nai Ai Yazawa 10.1%
5 Gintama Hideaki Sorachi 8.7%

Other manga female respondents answered that they thought shouldn't be turned into a live-action film included Saint Young Men, Baby & Me, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Vagabond.

Among 279 male respondents in their 20s, these were the top choices:

Rank Manga Author % of Votes
1 One Piece Eiichiro Oda 47.0%
2 Slam Dunk Takehiko Inoue 20.4%
3 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Hirohiko Araki 14.7%
2 Hajime no Ippo George Morikawa 9.3%
5 Fullmetal Alchemist Hiromu Arakawa 9.0%

Other manga male respondents answered that they thought shouldn't be turned into a live-action film included Rozen Maiden, Ushio and Tora, and Vagabond.

Both surveys were conducted online between January 24 and February 1. In a recent Escala poll, women in their 20s ranked One Piece as the second-most manga they would like adapted into a live-action film, behind Saint Young Men.
