Madoka is going to be one of those franchises with new merchandise until the end of time, isn't it? At the very least, anyone with any familiarity with the show will know it's not the innocent childlike romp it looked like it was at the beginning.

At the end of the day, it's all about the cute girls. (^.^;) Just like how the Evangelion brand sustains itself on Rei & Asuka merchandise, PMMM succeeds not only because it's a great show, but because the character designs are simply adorable. Never underestimate the power of kawaii and moe on both guys and girls! (>.<) |

They're instantly recognizable by anyone familiar with the show too, which I believe is very important. I mean, I saw that lingerie and mention that they're themed on Sayaka and Kyoko, and I thought, "I can see how they're based on those characters." That's not something that happens all the time, but every Madoka merchandise item I've seen has been like that for me.
