The second video is regionally resticted, but you can get around that by using any US-based web proxy.

Uh...I usually like these films...which is why when I try to actually analyse it and take it apart piece by piece shot by shot as I usually do, it just doesn't hold up.

Look, I get film. I get shots. I get artsy. I'm not saying this film is pretentious or anything. I'm just saying that fundamentally nothing really happens except for exposition over and over again. There's nothing of substance here. Feels like the director didn't really know what to do with the source material.

WOW, how about you shut up? Your opinion is not fact. This world doesn't revolve around you. Let people see what they wanna see. People that acted like you is what make this community stagnant.

Wow...talk about uptight. And here I try to do a favour. Wow there seems to be a lot of defenders here. I might take my leave before things get ugly...

I don't really care whether the story holds up (although I hope it does), I've already seen the last movie in theaters and it was GORGEOUS. That alone is enough to get me to watch this.

I wish I knew which theaters were playing subs though, because a whole movie listening to Sawashiro Miyuki's breathy voice sounds heavenly. The theater I went to was playing dubs, but I didn't go on the 'premiere' days so maybe that has something to do with it.

I enjoyed this movie quite a bit (I had no idea what to expect going in either). The only thing that really kept me from calling it a masterpiece was that the ending felt a bit cheap spoiler[EVERYONE under the system loses their free-will HOORAY!!!]

I think that was rather the idea... The idea is supposed to haunt you like that... also spoiler[I don't think everyone loses their free will, there are still some areas and people on Earth outside of that system.]

When will these films release on blu-ray? I'd like a nice box set with all 3 of them together.

Reading that summary I can't help but feel no sympathy for their "plight".

"Oh the world is too perfect we must do something to fvck it up, I know let's kill ourselves!"

It could just as well have been a short and it would've been a hit with the artsy types who tend to read too much into things. "This is clearly an overt commentary on the apathy of our society's modern youth!" or some such nonsense.
