Yes!!! Thank you so much AoA! This is one of the best announcements ever. Charlotte is one of my most anticipted AoA titles and can't wait to watch it but I was afraid it would get the sub only treatment. AoA has been on a role lately! I can't wait to buy all the LE's for Charlotte,

The dub trailer trailers also sounds fantastic! So happy Anime smile

Charlotte was not as good as fans hoped, but I suspected that Aniplex USA was probably going to dub it. Even if Charlotte is not a very popular title, its connection with the fan favorite Angel Beats! should not be underestimated.

Nice to see Ray Chase get a lead role, and nice to hear Lauren Landa in a non-Funimation dub.

One of the most notorious last episodes in anime. Up until that point however, it was a pretty entertaining series. Hope it sells well.

I don't think there are any. A LE isn't mentioned in the article, just a standard edition for each volume.

I must be in the minority then, because I really enjoyed it. It's nice to have a show take you to a place that you don't expect, especially when you start it and it appears to be fairly cliche. I was glad it surpassed my expectations, and did something new.

This general consensus though, is it just from Japan or all around?

On the fence for buying this. I like Key / Visual Art's a lot, but Charlotte never seemed like much more than a somewhat more comprehensible Mekakucity Actors. Difference for me might be whether it's a merely expensive Aniplex USA standard edition or a batshit crazy Aniplex USA limited edition.

For a good laugh, enjoy Gigguk's video recap of it.

The details of both bluray volumes are on the official site, while its certainly not an extravagant once it does have a LE in the form how how AoA has released Durarara x2, Monogatari S2, Aldnoah.Zero etc.. essentially just a bluray case/slipcover and some postcards. Nothing fancy but still a "LE" under Aniplex's terms.

That's the thing though...like 90% of all anime out there, it didn't really go to a place people didn't expect. It went exactly where any Jun Maeda fan should've expected.

I really hate that I wish this company would pull out of the market. I've said it a lot, but they clearly don't care about fans when they charge $149.96 for 13 episodes. If they cared, they'd keep it profitable at a price normal people can afford. I really don't understand how Aniplex can sell DIRECTLY, for more money than companies like Funimation sell things after already paying license fees. Pure greed.

The show itself was good enough but no where near this price point. Dub sounds as lifeless as most now days.

Lauren Landa's been in plenty of non-FUNi dubs. Just no recent ones until now.

Hmm.... the dub's not bad. Also, typical Aniplex to charge a high price for their BDs.
