I'm having a hard time readjusting to the characters' new voices (and some, the new look). After over 103 episodes with them, having the entire cast replaced feels a bit disjointed to me.

It's still one of my favorite anime series ever, but Hallow has been a little off putting. Everything from the rushed pacing, new cast for VAs, very budgeted animation, and only a 13 episode run makes me wonder why they revived the series if they had so little faith in it. I'm just glad it kept the old musical soundtrack, because it still feels like D.Gray-man at least. Hoping Hallow does well enough with FUNimation backing it (Thank god this made them finally license the entire series) that we see more seasons in the future.

They indeed kinda ruined it with new VA and new character style and also the old one looked much more darker, dunno just feels like it could be allot better if they kept all things the same and simply continue it dunno why it was a need to change for example Lenalee she almost looks like a different person....

Seeing this made my day, thanks ANN! I don't think people realize how great this series is, as it (as well as Hitman Reborn) have been over-looked in my opinion.

As much as the art style is different, I don't mind it, as it matches Hoshino's art style in the manga better than the older one would have at this point in time. And, having the same music from the first series is definately a huge plus for me; especially since I love the composer's works.

The only thing I'm having a hard time with is the new VAs. Most of the originals are still alive and acting (sans a small handful), I won't really understand why they recasted everyone. I don't mind The main 4 so much (though Lavi is a little higher pitch for my tastes). I don't remember Link/Inspector too well, as they had very few episodes back in '08. Komui is a little too different for me, and Cross spoiler[ only had an episode and a half ] So I'm not that concerned. The only ones I am worried for are the Earl, Tyki, and Alma. Tyki and the Earl sounded great in the original, so I hope these new VAs can carry on. Alma we've never heard, so hopefully it's okay. At the end of the day, I can just turn my sound off I guess.

I kind of wish you talked about Krory he's my favorite character, and is part of the main cast, but over all I enjoyed the article. Here's hoping to finally see the end of this story!

It's not covering the ending of the series, Hallow is only adapting like three arcs, the main one specifically being about Kanda.

I figured we wouldn't get an ending with Hallow since it's only 13 episodes, I just hope it does well enough for a full on ending. Has the mangaka ever finished it or is it still on hiatus?

Also, Hoshino's artwork kinda evolved across these years.

Let's compare volume 3 Lenalee with twenty volumes later

The manga's been off of hiatus for just over a year now. In fact, the newest chapter just came out (Chapter 223 I believe) recently. The only downside is that it's on a quarterly release, so about four chapters a year. Confused

Man that's great/sucks. How much material do they have for the anime if it went into a full continuation?

Not really sure if I want to get back into this or not. I love this story, but 13 episodes feels like nothing more than a tease. Unless there is more coming, I'm not sure I want to devote time to it.
