| "If you're tired of predictable music—and, really, who isn't?—"LOVE JAM" is the place to be."
The final thoughts of this review was too amusing that I thought it deserving of a response. It's just bad judgement to substantiate the constitution of unpredictable music only to the extent that Love Jam, which is just another pop effort, does. Listeners who would simplistically form such a thought are often too uninformed, because all pop thrives on its predictability. If not, then why pay any attention to whatever degree of repetitiveness and recurrance in sequence, form, groove, and themes? I suppose that the comment was really trying to convey that the herein musical offering is less predictable than normal. For if one was truly weary of predictable music, the listener would escape to Arnold Schoenberg, Bela Bartok, Ornette Coleman, and Cecil Taylor. |

| Okay, yeah, that was an overstatement. For fluffy pop music, Love Jam is unpredictable. But put it back in the context of the paragaph and it makes perfect sense.
As for the rest, my eyes sort of glazed over when I got to "substantiate the constitution." |

| If it's "Pop Music" it surely won't be unpredicable for long. Like maybe at first hearing but not after that. |

| News flash: The more you listen to something, the more predictable it gets. | |||

| I just re-read my post and it does seem harshly critical. The poor articulation betrays my actual sentiment. I just really thought it was funny. That's all. | |||

| I wonder. Are these titles available stateside? I kind of want to buy the Rio Matsumoto CD. The pizzicato string section sold me to it.
Okay, that's a bit of lie. I like the cover too. |

| Not yet, I'm afraid. But if you use the CD Japan link, you can still nab Matsumoto for a reasonable $17. | |||

| I believe for your last link you want this one instead of this one. The first leads to the proper S.E.N.S. album and the other leads to CHANGIN' MY LIFE's "The Best of My Life" album. | |||

| Haha, well, I guess that spoils the surprise for next time. Thanks for catching it. | |||

| Gackt is just another pop artist in a different wrapper. | |||

| The Wish soundtrack seems to be an interesting blend of intruments, although 37 minutes is a bit short. | |||

| Actually, there's nothing unusual about the instrument selection--the writing and performing, on the other hand, are exceptional. And you'll get a lot of mileage out of those 37 minutes. | |||
