Hmm, didn't expect to see Prisma Illya in the top 20. I voted 91 Days for the sake of originality, but it's good to see the former is still entertaining Smile

I'm going with Popplio. But I do so in anticipation of Popplio being the least popular starter, meaning I'll have the eaisest possible time trading for the other two. I'll read the results next time and use that as part of my obervations. I may change if it turns out Popplio becomes more popular.

No video games in this list, because otherwise, you're guaranteed to have something from Shin Megami Tensei on there. That series is all about cruel deities, including the Judeo-Christian-Islamic one.

New Poll: "No answer," as I'll be choosing two Starter Pokémon instead. Litten for the Sun Version; Popplio for Moon...

Haha, Demon Lord Dante's God made it on this list. Devilman's God's also pretty bad. And yeah, I agree with Berserk's God and the God Hand as #1, they have a far more meaningful role than other Gods, and Miura ties them into the story and its themes very well.

I have seen all of these shows in one way or another. Not to sure about the manga counterpart of god for demon lord dante(it been a while-like years on the anime network on my cable provider then) and that was just the anime.

For the madoka magica movies...yeah I haven't seen them yet; but I can understand how Homura Akemi can come to that conclusion...somewhat(until I watch them and actually understand them for myself...someday).

Now...the god hand itself and the Berserk world....If I could name 3 places in fiction I would never want to be in that would be:
1.Berserk (especially after seeing the anime for the first time when I was in high school)
2.Hunter x Hunter
3. Black Lagoon

I stop at world 5 or 6 of Digimon(I think it was kids with "loaders" and fusing digimon together; but I forgot it's name...though then their it's sequel as well).

Serial Experimental lain...well that god was forgettable to me as much as me trying to remember the plot of the series itself.

Also same for Deus ex machina(he was alright; but that's about it).

For pokemon: I second Leafy sea dragon choice and is a starter I look forward to....well particular it's final evolution state anyway....if I was going to get this game.

sidenote: Current show I have just started watching and look forward to each week: The Heroic Legend of Arslan. Not finish yet with the season to watch Dust Storm Dance yet; but I am enjoying my pace and overall enjoyment of this series.

I'm totally biased so I was hoping she'd land #1 Razz

But yeah you don't even have to watch Rebellion to understand. She was the only magical girl to never truly get her wish (she could never protect Madoka no matter what) so that's where "Rebellion" comes from.

Should have waited a few months, they you could have dropped the new Kaioshin from Dragon Ball Super on this list.

I appreciate having the note "Note: Spoilers for Madoka Magica: Rebellion" at the top. In the past, I've managed to skip past the paragraph on shows that I didn't want info about. However, the character name alone is a spoiler in this case. Having seen the TV series, the only way to avoid the spoiler was to not look at the article past the Note, i.e., to not look at the list at all. In case a similar situation comes up again, I suggest making it clear in the note that the list item itself, and not the paragraph, communicates the spoiler, and/or have the list item be just the show name, and/or hide the spoiler(s) as is done in the Forum with a black overlay labeled "spoiler[ ]".

The spoiler in this case doesn't matter that much to me, though. I wasn't planning on watching the movie, and if anything, I'm probably a bit more likely to watch it now.

Heh, really? A lot of people are predicting Popplio's final stage to look like a clown and is a reason for them to NOT get it. (It is for me, however.)

Altruistic gods make for boring stories. Case in point: Sonichu.

I've brought this up before, but considering how much of any given monotheistic religion's scripture is dedicated to saying how much better followers of __ are than those worthless, Hell-bound heathens, it's only fair that so much media exists from the perspective of said heathens.

I'd have put Drosselmeyer towards the top, if only because it's so rare to see an author avatar as the primary antagonist. God Hand definitely ranks number 1, though, and if Homura had somehow outranked them I would have called the entire thing rigged. They are objectively so much worse than poor Homura's character assassination.

For the second half of the new poll, male and female are sexes not genders.
Boy and girl, man and woman, those are genders. There are only 3 sexes (2 viable) but the number of genders is limited only by human imagination.

This distinction is non-trivial for it is the difference between a social construct and a biological inheritance. Chromosomes determine sex, society divides gender.

It's been speculated to also evolve into a Mermaid apparently due to starters apparently having different final evolutions.

Hmm. I would've preferred a clown. But if it's a clown AND a mermaid, that'd be the best. (Wouldn't Popplio have an 87.5% male, 12.5% female gender ratio like all of the other starters?)
