You can really stop with all the male idol stuff already Japan. I promise it's okay. Rolling Eyes

You just let me know when it's time to start caring again and then maybe I'll take this industry and it's announcements somewhat seriously again.

I'm super super hyped for this. I only started playing the mobile game in July and I'm a huge sucker for rhythm games so I got sucked in fairly quickly and easily.

Even though the characters to some extent are a bit tropey, I love their angst and character development. I didn't expect to like the story as much as I do now. I just adore everyone's chemistry.

The music from all three groups are so lively and fun too. LOVE & GAME and PERFECTION GIMMICK are probably two of my favourite songs.

I'm pretty sure there's a lot more than that. It's also the sheer glut of them along with female ones of late that really oversaturates the market but you know it is anime so yeah. Sad that it's come to that point where I can just describe it in those terms.

I repeteadly see you having this attitude everytime anything oriented to female audience is announced.

There's animes for all tastes and male idol shows are a small minority. If you don't like it, just ignore it. No point on complaining or saying how they should stop doing them just because you don't like them.

Didn't they announce the anime for this already? I thought studio Bones was going to produce it. And to those who don't want "reports on new idol anime" um, don't tell these people how to run their website. They're trying to provide for everyone not just a select group of people, so suck it up.

No, the BONES thing was for their animated music video. This is the first time they're announcing the Anime.

i will list all of the male idol anime after utapri
starmyu
shohari (not really idol, more slice of life coming of age)
dance with devils (not sure if it counts since it was insert songs and not about singers)
bakumatsu rock (rock themed tho, not idols)
king of prism (but thats based off another franchise)

this season:
b-project
tsukiuta

future seasons:
magic kyun
enstars
marginal 4
now idolish7

but considering all of these are spread apart throughout four years, it's not that much compared to our typical ecchi harems that we get 3+ per season. and there are still more female idol shows overall.

Look, for years us females have had maybe 1-3 shows per season to watch and for a long time we were all wishing for male idol anime. We finally got our wish so let us have this moment, OK?

Not to mention there are dozens of female idol anime. Love Live!, Wake up, Girls!, Idolm@ster, Locodol, the upcoming Bang Dream, Show by Rock....you get the idea.

Male vs. Female really has nothing to do with it at all and I really don't understand what exactly I'm doing to interfere with anyone's potential enjoyment of anything. I mean I hope that's not where this is going. I have my views on things that aren't always all sunshine and rainbows and positivity (IMO blind optimism sometimes the way people sometime think any sort of criticism or not overwhelmingly positive energy about something makes you full of hate and bile) all the time and other people have there's and are probably in the same situation. If I was actually crapping on people for liking these shows I think it'd be different but that's not the case, I just think they're over-saturating the market with them at the moment.

Anyway thank you folks for not being unnecessarily snarky about my opinions (most of you at least) and just disagreeing with reasons. Was starting to think that was a lost art.

Female viewers are about to get a LOT more shows targeted at them next year but I wonder if it's entirely in the way that all of them will like or appreciate. It's not because the industry suddenly thinks they owe them a favor IMO but because they see fujoshi specifically as an easy money mark to target that hasn't quite been worked to the bone as hard as male otaku. Again call it cynicism but maybe the industry just projects a lot of that itself lately.

Oh, I see. You're not displeased with male idols shows in general but the direction of the industry. Is that it? The influx of idol shows and more light novel stuff and fewer anime Joker Game or say Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu?

Well, most anime depend on either otaku or fujoshi to buy the Bluray and DVDs. These discs are usually very expensive so only really hardcore fans buy them. And right now those hardcore fans are idol otaku (male and female), fujoshi and light novel otaku (even those don't buy much nowadays, but I'll come to that later.)

I'd say more about this but I'm not sure if this is what you meant.

Let's look at it, shall we?

Shounen Hollywood, Starmyu, B-Project, and Tsukita. And we have... Four? Announced to be coming out at some point in time in the future. Wow... We're really getting over saturated here. Rolling Eyes You get like one, maybe two idol shows a season. There's not that much. Another classic case of you over-exaggerating so you can complain about stuff that literally does nothing other than rain on people's parade.

lol STFU enjoy your titis harem loli cringe animes while the Girls enjoys theirs, that's why Kpop is always superior than Jpop because the likes of you pisses everyone off plus this game is one of Bandai Namco's most popular game, we let them suck out our money the app got 1 of the most high rated 5 stars on JP Appstore(not even localized yet) after every updates, downloaded a millionth times Bandai is milking it etc., and it deserves all those love

ANYWAYS HYPE I've been on a hysteric about it since day 1 since they chose to adapt B-project instead of Idolish7 which is obviously more popular but it's still doing good and we're still chill about it, fans were actually on a #hashtag rant war on twitter and now we got what they wanted, this is gonna be hype.
