Uwa, so Sadako/Samarah is now targetting multiple people instead of one... I can already see RT's ratings on this one.

This doesn't have the spirit of the original that made it so popular. It is supposed to be atmospheric rather than being gruesome and having jump scares. The original didn't have any jump scare and I was still scared for the whole night after watching it.

I miss the 2000's J-horror so much.

I hope this is good. I want it to be good.

But this trailer is not promising. At all.

It's trying to follow the low-rent replacement JP "Sadako" movies where Sadie leaps out of viral cellphones (because there are no more VHS's), only....I don't recall any collapsing power lines or big epic plane crashes in that one.
As one columnist put it, think someone forgot which movie they were making and got a little too much Final Destination into the mix.

(They also remembered the US "Grudge" but forgot which one had the shower in it.)

Horror movies are dumb in general but hey what do you expect after they throw every piece of common sense right out the window. As a matter of fact one could say that it's common sense not to watch them in at all. Laughing
